My biggest question is: Will it all still be pure wasteland? Or are we going to have some greenery? If it's only wasteland and ruined cities, that schtick might be a little tired at this point. Skyrim did make a pretty nice leap in interactive sandbox storytelling, so I suppose there is hope. Every Elder Scroll game improved on the last, but the characters and story are one thing that has hardly changed in any meaningful way. Their team doesn't have those skills imo.
Man, so many hours spent on those games.Īs much as I'm sure they would like to include such improvements, I don't think they could do it even if they wanted to. I'm sure I'll enjoy it either way since I adored FO3 before NV came out, but it'll be tinged with disappointment if they try to act like NV's improvements didn't happen. Here's hoping they take the mechanical and storytelling changes from FONV into account and we don't have to wait another couple years for Obsidian's improved crack at it.
